A loan of $550 helped purchase a motorcycle for making deliveries.

Danilo's story

Danilo M. A. is married and has 3 children, who along with his wife are his highest priority. His children are 12, 11, and 6 years old respectively. In the city of Palmares, Danilo manages a soda fountain that is located next to a hardware store. His loan will be used to buy a motorcycle so that he will be able to deliver food. This will help him save on fuel costs because he currently makes deliveries by car. His soda fountain has been in existence for three months, and he has 12 years of business experience.

This is the first time Don Danilo has received funding from FUDECOSUR and has no other debts with formal banks. His wish is to establish his business and provide good home delivery service so that he can generate income to support his children’s education.

The Foundation for the Development of Southern Communities is dedicated to economically empowering its clients by providing credit and capacitating programs to improve living conditions of micro-entrepreneurs and their children across Southern Costa Rica.
