A loan helped to buy a moto-rickshaw body for her husband so he can convert his personal motorcycle into a moto-rickshaw.

Shazia's story

Shazia is a 32-year-old married woman. She does not have any kids yet and lives in Lahore, Pakistan. Her financial conditions are very bad. She is pictured with her husband.

He has been skipping professions with the passage of time. Recently, he started to drive a moto-rickshaw which does not belong to him. He wants to get rid of the daily fare (rental) and has a desire to buy his own rickshaw.

Her husband has his personal motorbike, which he wants to convert into a moto-rickshaw so he can easily generate income for the family. A moto-rickshaw body has a cheap cost, but he does not have even a little cash. This is the reason Shazia requested a Kiva loan for her husband so he can buy a rickshaw body for patching onto the motorbike.

Shazia is very thankful to Kiva and field partner BRAC Pakistan for this honorable support.

This loan is special because:

It provides financial services in some of the poorest parts of Pakistan.
