A loan of $350 helped to purchase more wool to make artisan weavings.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is 29 years old and is a cheerful and hardworking woman. She lives in her own home and what she longs for most is improving her standard of living. That is why she dedicates herself daily to the production of artisan weavings in her own workshop. Here she works nonstop to cover the quantity of pieces that have been requested from her in Desaguadero city (Puno Province, the border between Perú and Bolivia), since it is there that she sell her garments. What she likes most about her work is weaving, which she has done for 9 years and with great skill, even though she must remain all day in her shop until she fulfills her orders. She does this with great dedication since her wish is to have a shop where she can easily sell her garments. This is her sixth loan with MFP and promises to make timely payments so as not to jeopardize her communal bank colleagues since they consider her a responsible and esteemed person. With the thousand soles (Peruvian Soles) loan she will buy the wool required to produce more artisan garments.
