A loan of $700 helped purchase sacks of fertilizer for the next plantings.

Beatriz's story

Beatriz is 42 years old, lives with her husband and six children in their own home. She does many things such as sewing, raising animals and farming, which is the job that occupies most of her time; above all, when the planting and harvesting season approaches. She plants potatoes, corn, beans and peas in large quantities. She feels that her work is worthwhile when she sees her crops have been fruitful and she can sell the entire crop successfully in the market place near her neighborhood. Among all the most lucrative products that she plants is corn and beans. For this reason, she's analyzing the possibility of increasing her land holdings. This is the 13th opportunity she's had for credit with MFP, and her perseverance in the banking community is commendable. So, she feels very good belonging to this team now that she is one of the most long-standing members. A part of the money will be invested in buying sacks of fertilizer for her next planting and the other part in the purchase of looms for her small sewing workshop.
