A loan helped pay school fees for her children.

Zaituna's story

Zaituna is a married mother of four children, living in the rural town of Nakaloke. She is a hardworking lady that sells charcoal to supplement the meager income of her husband.

Zaituna often travels far and wide in search of charcoal that she can sell, and this also involves spending long periods of time away from her family.

Lately, her business has been facing challenges with insufficient returns, and she therefore requested for a loan so that she would pay school fees for her children and keep them in school.

Zaituna appreciates UGAFODE and Kiva funders for the financial assistance they extend to her.

This loan is special because:

It helps families send their children to school.
