A loan of $950 helped to buy raw cashews.

Norma Yanira's story

Norma Yanira R. D. P. is 35 years old, and lives in Santiago Nonualco in the department of La Paz. She lives with her husband and their two children, who are 16 and 14 years old. Norma markets cashews, which she prepares herself, on the streets of Santiago Nonualco. She has been in this business for 16 years now, which she decided to initiate thanks to the advice of her sister who recommended it to her in order to improve her family economic situation.

Norma buys the cashews and prepares them in a handmaD. manner and then places them in a small bag so that she can sell them in exact measures. Her children contribute to the process of preparing the cashews. Norma is requesting a loan which she will use for the necessary capital in order to be able to increase the quantity of raw cashews and therefore count on more products to sell. She appreciates her business a lot since it has been through this that she has been able to give her children schooling and clothing.
