A loan helped to buy agricultural supplies.

Frida's story

Frida is 41 years old. She is a single mother with two children, with whom she lives in the town of Coroico in Los Yungas, in the department of La Paz, Bolivia.

She and her family live in their own home, very close to her agricultural plot. Frida has been a farmer for 20 years. She grows coca leaves, which are part of the Aymara culture and are consumed by chewing and for medicinal purposes.

She sells what she produces in bulk in the local fair. She dreams of being able to provide better opportunities for her children, and that they would be able to go to university.
