A loan of $7,000 helped me get a delivery vehicle and get into a production kitchen some operating capital and to help me get set-up for a farmers market.

Marilyn's story

My entrepreneurial challenges began at an early age with typical youth activities: babysitting, lemonade stand sales, and making gift baskets at Christmas time. With a Business Administration Degree at Grant McEwan University in hand, I spent several years working in sales and hospitality. Then I started Heart@Work where I offered coaching, consulting and training for start-up businesses and offering employers training about kindness in the workplace.

I started Sedona Pies with my own unique recipes as a way to make a profit and give back. At the end of each year, I’ve donated money and products to worthy causes. Giving back to my community is important to me.

This loan is special because:

It helps an established female entrepreneur expand her food business and reach new clientele.
