A loan helped to maintain potato crops in order to have a more productive harvest.

Silvia Aurelia's story

Silvia is a hardworking 49 year old woman who lives with her husband and son in the town of Bella Unión which is located in Acari. She works in the fields, an occupation she has been engaged in for eight years, and which she learned from her parents who taught her the proper care to take with each type of crop.

Silvia currently grows olives, but she needs to diversify her production. For this reason, she is applying for a microloan in order to maintain potato crops in order to have a more productive harvest. Silvia hopes to invest her earnings in the future to expand her farming activities and provide her son a good education.
