Aurapil's story

Aurapil is 43 years old and has a 10-year-old child. She and her family run a farm to earn an income. They have been in this livelihood for many years. Aside from this, she also buys and sells dried fish for additional income.

Now she asks for a loan of PHP 18,000 through KIVA’s field partner, CEV (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. From this loan, she will buy dried fish to sell. Other part will be used to buy seeds, fertilizer and pesticides. This loan will probably help her improve her harvest for a living.

Furthermore, Aurapil dreams for her child to finish their studies.
