Hugo's story

Hugo, 35, is a charismatic man who lives with is wife, Karina, 25 and their three children: Jelcy, 13, Nicole, 11, and Paola, 3. They live in their own, cozy house located in the Peruvian central jungle. From a very early age he has grown coffee on his lands. Coffee grows abundantly in this part of Perú. He learned how to cultivate coffee while very young and he worked hard to implement improved agricultural practices on his farmlands because he has a strong desire to do well in life. Every day he awakens with the goal in mind to provide his children with a better quality of life. As he himself tells us: "in the beginning I didn't enjoy farming much but economic necessity forced me to work happily, most of all for my children." This is how Hugo makes the most of this activity and earns good financial rewards from it. For the future, Hugo would like plant more since the coffee growing season can provide increased income thus offering the best for his family. This is his first loan with MFP and he pledges to repay punctually because he knows that trust is rewarded with trust. On the other hand, he is committed to his communal bank, which is made up of working people like him. With the requested funds he will buy coffee seedlings and natural fertilizer to improve his crop yield.
