Rowena's story

Rowena O. is from the town of Lawy in Capas Tarlac. She is 47 years old. Rowena is married and has 5 adult children. To make a living, Rowena owns and operates a general store where she sells a variety of different products in the local community. Rowena has been engaged in her business for over 25 years and earns approximately 8000 PHP a month from these activities.

In 2001, Rowena joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Rowena successfully repaid a previous loan of 30000 PHP from ASKI. She used her previous loan to purchase new items to sell. Rowena is requesting a new loan of 15000 PHP to purchase additional products to sell. This will be Rowena's 16th loan from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her business.
