A loan of $350 helped to buy sugar, rice, noodles etc.

Vicenta Eliana's story

Mrs. Vincenta is a partner in the Community Bank of “August 30th”. She lives in the district of Ilave, in the province of El Collao in the area of Puno. She is 42 years old and has high school studies completed. She is a single mother and has one child.

Mrs. Vincenta has a store that sells groceries and she works with the Manueal Ramos Movement for the last 11 years. Her first loan in her Community Bank was for S/300 Peruvian nuevos soles which allowed her to buy the groceries.

She is requesting a loan of S/1000.00 nuevos soles which she will invest in the purchase of groceries such as: noodles, rice, sugar etc.

Her hope for the future is to have a grocery store of her own, since right now she is in charge of her mother’s store.

What she likes the most about her Community Bank are the savings and the lectures that the bank promoters offer.
