A loan of $525 helped to buy tables and chairs.

Edith's story

Edith, 27, lives with her husband and two small sons in her mother-in-law's house. For the past two years she has prepared fast-food for sale every afternoon on the corner where she lives. Sometimes her husband and mother-in-law help her move her "sanguchero" (portable food-preparation stand), which is her main work tool, to the location. A few months ago, Edith gave birth so had to stop working temporarily. Now, however, she is restarting her usual work routine. Her wish for the future is to have a stable location where she can offer a greater quantity of dishes to her customers. This is her sixth loan with MFP. She has always made her repayments on time and she pledges to continue to do so. With the funding requested she plans to buy tables and chairs to start to equip her future restaurant.
