Rosalia's story

Rosalia is a member of the Community Bank “Las Brisas del Río Blanco” from the district of Pilcuyo, in El Collao province, Peru. She is 43 years old, is married, and has 9 children. Seven of the children live with her and two have their own families. She studied up to third graD. in elementary school.

Rosalia has been working with the Manuela Ramos movement for 4 years. She works buying and selling vegetables on Fridays and Sundays, and also works buying and selling animals such as cows, sheep, and others.

She tells us that with her first loan, which was for 300 Peruvian soles, she bought 2 sheep and 2 pigs that she later sold.

She is asking for a loan of 3000 Peruvian soles. She will invest half in animals and half in her vegetable business.

He vision for the future is to work as a wholesaler in her business and to distribute her products. She would also like to see her children well established on their own.

What she likes the most about her community bank is going to the meetings and talks that are given by the organizers, and learning to be on time.
