Blanca Margarita's story

The Prosperidad community bank is made up of a group of friends that share the need to get ahead and show their families and children that in this life, anything is possible if only there is the will and desire to overcome. They formed this group to get loans in order to grow their businesses. The live in an urban area in the city of C., a city that holds onto many traditions, a place of dreams where everyone who visits will leave with the promise to return for the beauty that is preserved.

Blanca Gutiérrez is a member of the Prosperidad community bank. She is 46 years old, married and has two children that are 25 and 17 years old. Her older son works and studies at the UNITA university. Her second son is at La Salle high school. Her husband works as the plant manager of a prestigious furniture business, Colineal. His demonstration of hard work is seen in his ability to build his own home.

Blanca works in the distribution of fabrics. She began 10 years ago and little by little, has grown her business. She tells us that everything is going well, because she already has a select clientele. Her customers call her by phone to put in orders that are delivered to their households. There are occasions when her customers come to her shop to pick up merchandise. She is a charismatic member and gets along with all her companions at the community bank. She has been receiving loans for one year with this institution, and tells us that she has benefitted in her home and business. With this loan, she is going to invest in growing her business. Her goal is to continue growing along with her business.
