Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $475 helped purchase of 15 trays of eggs.

Abla's story

This woman runs a business selling eggs and other general foodstuffs. She began this business in 1999 and stocks up on general foodstuffs in Lomé and on eggs at a farm inland. Her stock of goods is declining and she would like to build it up again; she is thus asking for a loan from WAGES for the purchase of 15 trays of eggs and other general foodstuffs. She is married and has two children; through her business she contributes to the household expenses.
