A loan helped to buy more pampas, milk, biscuit, cooking seasoning and soap to sell.

Memunatu's story

Memunatu is a 34-year-old businesswoman in Masuba, a bustling market community in the northern rural area of Sierra Leone. She's married with five children.

This loan will help her improve her standard of living and care for her children.

Memunatu runs a retail business selling pampas, milk, biscuit, sweets and cooking seasonings. She works eight hours a day, six days a week, and has an assistant helping her. When asked about the challenges her business faces, she said despite the challenges, she's proud of her business.

She'd use this loan to buy more stock for resale. She's well regarded by BRAC Sierra Leone; she previously took out and repaid three loans for her business, which she wants to expand. She thanks you for your support.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with access to funding in areas where there are limited alternative source of finance.
