Julia Aydee's story

JULIA AYDEE, 55, is married and the mother of three children. She lives in the imperial city of Cusco and is a member of Asociación Arariwa's “UNIDOS PARA EL TRIUNFO” communal bank. She has a small candle-making business. She is a humble, hard-working, enterprising, responsible woman who tries to get her children ahead in life by providing them with a good education. She tells us that the business has been around for 20 years and has passed from generation to generation and now it is she, together with her children, who run it. The funding is needed to buy candle-making supplies like paraffin and wicks. She is grateful for the opportunity offered by this means and pledges to repay in a timely fashion.
