A loan of $600 helped purchase real and virtual phone cards.

Dayce's story

Ms. Dayce B. is a member of the Sagrado Corazon II Communal Bank in the Moyobamba district and province, department of San Martin. She is a 33-year-old single mother with 2 dependent children.

Her strength and perseverance, for which she is noted, motivated her to create her own business—a call and candy shop. She started out with 500.00 PEN, and started to gain customers day by day. She currently runs this same business, which is located in a central area in her district, where demand is high, thus sales are good.

With this 1,700.00 PEN, she will purchase lumber to expand her call shop with 2 more phone booths. She will also purchase real and virtual phone cards. She will invest some of the money in purchasing candy.

She states that she works with optimism, being grateful for the loans that help her develop both as a woman and as a small business owner.
