Neto's Group's story

Neto, pictured above, has been a farmer for 15 years, and is now proud to represent his group of 5 farmers in Iringa District. He is 32 years old, married and has 3 children.

Neto likes to think of himself as a very hardworking individual. He has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2015 and decided to represent his group because he wanted to gain leadership skills. He says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that he has had more profits from each harvest. Neto plans to use the profits from this coming season to buy chicken.

In total, Neto’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 3 acres of land. Given that one member of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of 1 solar light.

In this group: Neto, Anjelina, Paskali, Franziska, Joseph

This loan is special because:

It supports smallholder farmers to purchase seeds and solar lanterns.
