Luis Alfonso's story

Mr. Luis Alfonso C. has made a living as a farmer for 27 years. The greatest challenge that has been presented to him during this time is that of economic resources, to be able to provide better maintenance to his cultivation of pineapples, since they are lacking the necessary supplies and the fruit ends up very small. If in time he manages to implement the necessary fertilizers and supplies, he will be able to yield quality products. This would benefit him because it would be easier to sell large pineapples at a better price, thereby increasing his earnings. Also, he would pay off his loan on time and improve the quality of life for his family. Luis lives with his wife in the neighborhood La Borgona, located in the municipality of Ticuantepe. She works as a merchant to support him with the basic domestic expenses, such as water and electricity. They have four older children, all of whom live with them and work with Luis in agriculture. He thanks this institution for the confidence and security that it provides farmers, so they can turn out their products in better conditions and be better paid.
