A loan of $1,050 helped to purchase more chickens to sell in the Cusco markets.

Nelly's story

Nelly is a humble mother who belongs to the communal bank “VIRGEN PURIFICADA - ANGOSTURA”.

She is 29 years old and is a single mother of her 8-year-old son. Her son attends school and is in the second grade of elementary school. She lives in the San Jerónimo district within the Angostura region, which is located south of the city of Cusco. She is a nurse and works during the mornings for Seguro Social de Salud (ESSALUD). She alternates during the afternoons her activities in the house with raising chickens and the sale of wood. She has been performing this job for a few years and it has been going well, thanks to all the determination that she puts into her work. She is a hard-working and determined mother who is getting ahead with her family. She is requesting the loan to purchase more chickens to place them for sell in the Cusco market. This way, she will increase the capital for her business.

She is thankful of the opportunity granted to her through this method and she promises to complete all the scheduled repayments on time.
