Forti Evelyn's story

Forti Evelyn is a married mother of three small children. She lives in Mile 90 Nsogwa, Cameroon.

Evelyn and her entire family are living in a house with five rooms. Evelyn shares that some of her everyday challenges include the death of her first son and her poor health. These afflictions have been difficult for her from an emotional and financial perspective. To deal with her financial need, Evelyn currently has a small food stand in a local market through which she sells food and everyday items.

With this loan, Evelyn hopes to invest in additional inventory for her store. She will specifically be purchasing rice, corn, groundnuts, beans, soap, and oil.

Evelyn has been with GHAPE since 2007 and has successfully repaid two individual loans. Investing in her food stand has done well for her in the past and she is confident of continued success because of her experience and reasonable prices.

Evelyn hopes to spend part of the profits from this loan on health care for her children. She would like to P. them with some preventative treatment to avoid future illnesses.
