A loan helped to buy cast iron for manufacturing spare parts for her husband's manufacturing machine shop business.

Razia's story

Razia is 36 year old lady living with her spouse and five children in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Razia is standing with her husband. Her husband is a turner by profession and manufactures spare parts for vehicles. He has been operating a lathe for many years and can easily renew or manufacture spare parts for various vehicles. His lathe machine has become out of order and some tools have become worn out due to continuously working which are needing to be replaced. He has spent all his savings to buy cast iron for manufacturing spare parts and does not have money to fix the lathe. Therefore, Razia requested a loan for her husband so that he could fix the deficiencies of the lathe. She is relaxed now because she hopes that her husband could easily operate his lathe again.

She is very thankful to the Kiva and to its field partner BRAC Pakistan.
