A loan of $1,050 helped to increase capital.

Maria Virginia's story

For 5 years, Señora Maria Virginia has been selling food, preparing 20 lunches a day that she carries to the San Aurelio factory. In addition to this, she is a music teacher. She gets up very early each day to go to buy the meat that she needs to make her lunches; she distributes them at noon to the workers who leave the factory to eat. She maD. the decision to increase her working capital and to buy more lunch containers and a cooler to better maintain the perishables that she buys for the lunches. For this reason she has approached EMPRENDER for a loan. She is very proud of the work she is doing, since she must set a good example for her daughters who are in secondary school. For this reason she is very pleased to have the support of the institution, as she is committed to succeed so as to be an example for her family. She hopes that over time she will be able to rent out rooms in her house and also sell dinner so that she can improve her income and give greater opportunities to her family.
