A loan helped to allow 10 men to invest in animal sales.

Konbit Lakay's story

Ronald, 32 years old, lives in Gonaives, where he has a small network of farmers he works with. With 10 other men, he used to buy animals, then give them out to farmers for breeding. Then they sell them and share in the profit margin. This activity has allowed them to find other means to generate quick cash.

As he met with a Zafen agent, he would like to find a loan to invest in animal sales. He hopes to be successful thanks to Kiva lenders. Portrayed from left to right are Frisner (treasurer), Simonus (deputy treasurer), Lusianise (secretary), Petiton (key holder) and Ronald (leader).

This loan is special because:

It provides village associations with access to credit.
