Sara's story

I grew up with a very low socioeconomic status. The child of a single, disabled mother, I worked hard to ensure my academic success. Though I originally did not excel in college, I did earn an undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts in 2004. Ten years later (almost to the day), I graduated summa cum laude with my second undergraduate degree, this time in Psychology. I went on to complete my Master's degree in Clinical Counseling, which concluded in 2018. I was blessed to find such a wonderful internship site (and supervisor) who assisted in making my dream of private practice a reality. The faith that they have put in me and my abilities is often staggering. This is truly where I belong, the populations that I feel I should be working with, and my drive to be successful in this endeavor has never faltered.
