God's Grace Group's story

Elizabeth J. is the leader of a group of four borrowers called God’s Grace. She is 32 years old and a single mother with three children aged 3-13 years old. They are in Kindergarten through 5th grade. She also cares for two siblings. She is a 5th grade drop-out due to lack of financial support. Elizabeth and her children live around the Gbarnga central market but she works in the Gbarnga Dry rice market, Gbarnga city, the capital of Bong County, Liberia.

Her business is selling plastic materials .She buys plastic materials like plastic plates, cups, spoons, bowls, etc. wholesale and sells at retail in the Gbarnga Dry rice market. Elizabeth has been running this business for two years and hopes to move her business to a shop. Transporting goods is the difficulty Elizabeth faces.

Elizabeth’s good relationship with customers makes them always patronize her business. She needs this loan to purchase more goods to improve business. Elizabeth dreams of giving her family the best support.
