A loan of $1,050 helped buy rice and sugar, etc.

Rosa Margarita's story

Rosa is a member of the 3 de Mayo Communal Bank. She lives in the Ilave district, El Collao province, Puno department. She is a 43 year old single mother. She has a grocery store. She completed high school, and she has two children.

She has worked with the Manuela Ramos Movement for five years. Her first loan was for 300 PEN, which she used to invest in her store.

She is asking for a loan for 3,000 PEN to buy groceries like sugar, rice, and noodles, etc.

Her wish for the future is to have a telephone booth and a store where she could sell electro domestic appliances. Her biggest wish is that her children become professionals.

What she likes most about her communal bank are the savings that she gets, the meetings, and the punctuality of the members.
