Orfith's story

Sra. Orfith is a member of the Communal Bank “La Marginal II”, which is located in the District of Banda de Shilcayo, San Martín Province, Department of San Martín. She is 27 years old, married, and has a dependent school-age child, who is the reason behind everything she does.

Orfith is a hardworking and determined young woman who decided to start her own business selling salchipapas and salchipollos (local versions of fast food). She has been in operation for several years at her location that is well-equipped for accommodating her customers. Orfith says that her daily sales have been very good, due in part to the rich flavor of the food that she prepares. Her main customers are residents of the city, pedestrians, and regulars who know her well.

Her business continues to this day and she is very pleased with the work she has accomplished. She begins selling food in the evenings at 6pm. Orfith personally welcomes her customers with warmth and charisma.

With this loan of 1500 soles, she will buy supplies for daily food preparation such as oil by the gallon, sacks of potatoes, cases of chicken, vegetables, as well as utensils to help her continue her business and provide better service to her customers. Orfith is eager to move forward and has many dreams and goals in life, such as opening a grocery store. She thanks Manuela Ramos for helping her start her business.
