A loan of $700 helped she will buy spare parts for her motocar.

Besilia's story

Señora Besilia is a member of the communal bank "10 de Agosto II," located in the Tarapoto district of San Martin province in the San Martin region. She is 23 years old, lives with a partner and is the mother of 2 children, both of whom are dependent on her as they are in school.

Besilia is a hardworking woman who has always been characterized by an optimistic spirit. For 6 years she has had an urban passenger transport business using her motocar (light, 3-wheeled passenger vehicle). Her partner does the driving, taking the motocar to different places in the city. Little by little, she was saving and with this money she was buying spare parts in order to improve the service to the residents of the city. With this loan of 2,000 nuevos soles, she will buy spare parts and oils such as: lubricants, wheel hubs and spark plugs, so that she can provide better service and meet the needs of her customers.

Besilia feels great about belonging to a group of women who have helped her to better understand her rights, and who together have managed to become better respected.

She is also very grateful to the Manuela Ramos Movement organization for helping her to start out in business.
