A loan of $175 helped to buy a cow.

Nora's story

Nora is 30, and she lives in a rented house with her husband and 3 children. For the past 4 years she has raised cattle, and guinea pigs. Her oldest son helps her with the feeding of the animals. Besides the animals she has a transport service for passengers with a motorbike that she was able to buy with the savings from her work. Despite the fact that it is not common for a woman to drive this type of vehicle, she does it very well and her customers have a lot of faith in her.

Nora enjoys both jobs because they give her daily profits that help her pay for her family’s expenses.
Her goal for the future is to have more animals, but of better breeds, as well as to have her own house where she can set up a bigger stable.

This is the first time that she has asked for a loan from MFP. This is a new experience for her, to be part of a communal bank. Nevertheless she is very enthusiastic, because she knows that in this way she can progress, and she will make her payments on time.

The money that she is asking for will help her pay for another cow for her stable, since the price is approximates 1500 soles.
de 1500 soles.
