Ruzanna's story

Get to know Ruzanna, from a border-zone village, Getashen. She lives with a pensioner husband; her three children are working abroad, as they saw a potential to earn good money there. With the help of her husband, Ruzanna manages to keep a garden of cherry trees, plums, and Armenia's famous delicious apricots and peach trees. They also have a little farm of chickens.

The family garden is placed in a border-zone, so that they access their land with difficulty. But they try to allocate time for good cultivation of the land, as the sales of agricultural products is the main source of income for the family.

In order to keep the garden in a good condition and increase the productivity, Ruzanna applied for a financial support. With the loan they will be able to buy fertilizers, medicine, and forage for the chickens. The residuals from the funds will be allocated to the repair of their family truck, which helps them to sell the products at the markets. Ruzanna is sure that in the near future, they will reach the planned results and increase their income.
