Diana's story

Sra. Diana Matías O. is 44 years old and lives in a house built of solid materials, including a roof made of reeds. Her home is located in the central village of Rosario de Yauca in the region of Lujaraja. Diana has been selling clothing, plastics, and other items for three years. She operates her business out of her home, but she also travels to Santiago, Pachacutec, and Pueblo Nuevo. Her sales are made on a cash or credit basis. She is a single mother and enterprising woman. Her dream is to become a successful entrepreneur selling clothes, toys, plastics, and other products.

Her business is the main source of income for educating her four children. She purchased her own property and constructed a house that was affected by the 2007 earthquake. Diana is requesting a loan to buy clothing, toys, and plastics to sell for the Christmas season.
