A loan of $250 helped working capital.

Virginia Del Socorro's story

Virginia del Socorro is 28, and she makes a living selling firewood, which is very common. She started her business 8 years ago by selling tortillas as a street vendor. Today she does this in her home, and her business has increased because now she sells firewood and basic grains. She started to sell because she was a single mother and had to take care of her children. Later on she got married, and her husband supports her unconditionally. In spite of the economic situation, Virginia's business has gone well for her since the beginning. She is requesting financing from the institution to be able to work and to obtain economic stability. Her wish is that her efforts give her results so she can offer her children a worthy education and so they will never lack food.
