A loan helped to pay for ready-to-wear items like shirts, shorts, pants, undergarments, socks, etc.

Riena's story

A micro-entrepreneur from Taguig City, Philippines, Riena is 40 years old and married to 46-year-old Jolly, who works as a security guard. They have two children, one in college and one in high school.

Riena sells ready-to-wear items and also has a direct-selling business. She is glad to know there are organizations that can help better her business. She is requesting financial assistance to buy ready-to-wear items such as shirts, shorts, pants, undergarments, socks, etc. Her loan will also help her in buying personal products for her direct-selling business.

Riena hopes that her business will grow bigger and dreams that her children will finish college.

Riena is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with her fellowship members. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God.

A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationships among partners, and pay micro finance loans.

This loan is special because:

It's part of the partner's mission to empower communities through financial services and spiritual direction.
