A loan of $875 helped to purchase rice, sugar, chickens, eggs and utensils for her small cafe.

Mirelith's story

Mirelith is a member of the communal bank called Shatojinas en Accion, in the district of Shatoja in Dorado, San Martin. She is 34 years old and married with 2 children who depend on her. With the intention of helping with household costs, she decided to open a small cafe selling prepared meals and snacks, slowly gaining more experience along the way. She has now been running her business for 3 years, and things are going well. Over time, she has become well known and very well liked by her customers. She continues to run her business, personally attending to her customers with the good nature she is known for. With the new loan, she will purchase rice, sacks of sugar, various vegetables, eggs and chickens. She will also purchase a few kitchen utensils to replace what she has now, so she can offer better service to her customers. Merilith feels confident that her income will continue to grow, helping to provide her with a more tranquil life. She appreciates the organization of Manuela Ramos for helping her to reach her goals.
