Lita's story

Sra. Lita is a member of the Communal Bank “Las Estrellitas II” (Little Stars II), which is located in the District of Tarapoto, San Martín Province, Department of San San Martín. She is 42 years old, single, and the mother of an adult child.

Lita has worked as a seamstress for 10 years. Using her knowledge and sewing experience, Lita did not hesitate to start her own dressmaking shop that she operates out of her home. Her business is well-suited for welcoming her regular customers, who come by on a daily basis in need of her services. Lita's work is based on the orders that her customers submit in advance. She is very happy and proud of what she has achieved.

With this loan of 1400 soles, Lita will buy meters of fabric in different styles and colors, scissors, large spools of thread in different colors, hand sewing needles, sewing machine needles, pins, and buttons. Today Lita feels that she is an accomplished woman. She now has even more desire to achieve and fulfill her other dreams. Lita is grateful to Manuela Ramos for helping her start her business and supporting other women who want to grow as entrepreneurs.
