A loan helped a member to buy lemon juice, palm oil and groundnut paste.

Régine's Group's story

These three women live in the same district and are members of the same Banc Villageois, which was set up in May 2008.

Regine, who has her hand raised in the photo, is the group's representative, and she is 60 years old, married and mother to one boy. She has been building up a business selling lemon juice, palm oil and groundnut paste, for the past ten years now.

With this loan she is planning to buy ten 20-liter containers of palm oil, ten 20-kilo buckets of groundnut paste and 20 20-liter containers of lemon juice. She will use the profits to put in her savings and support her son, who is at university.
