Khan C. S., 29, is married with two school-age children. Her children are enrolled at a local primary school. She resides in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia with her husband (pictured) and children. To make a living, she sells a few types of fish that she usually buys from local farmers, earning approximately an income of US $4 per day. Her husband operates a business of renting discs of movies and karaoke songs to her new and existing customers at a local market, earning an income of US $5 per day to help cover the family expenses. S. and her husband are seeking to improve their standard of living and generate a better income. Therefore, S. is asking for a loan of US $1000 to purchase more discs to stock her husband’s disc shop.
