Maria Dominga's story

Doña Maria Dominga is originally from the Xolsacmalja community in the town of Totonicapan. She learned carpentry from her late father. After his death, she began managing a workshop where she makes a variety of products such as beds, chairs, wardrobes, and furniture pieces for the living room and kitchen.

She needs the assistance of the Institution to increase her capital for buying wood, nails, white glue, paint, and other items. Maria plans to take advantage of the dry season when demand for her products increases in the departments of Totonicapan, Chimaltenango, and Mazatenango.
