A loan of $550 helped to buy more fish to sell.

Dorine's story

Dorine O. is 21 years old and married with a young daughter, Linda. She sells fish, Nile perch and omena (fingerlings), in the Kawangware area of Nairobi. She has been in business for four years and describes herself as a very focused and hardworking young woman.

Dorine successfully paid off a previous loan from Faulu for 20,000 KES. She says since she joined Faulu, she has been able to expand her trade and is now renting larger business premises. Dorine is requesting this loan for 40,000 KES from Faulu to buy more fish to sell. In the future, she hopes to become a supplier for the entire region and so be able to buy more household goods.
