A loan of $175 helped increase capital in her business of making and selling furniture.

Reyna's story

Reyna belongs to the Mercamueble Communal Bank. She lives in the Imperial city of Cusco.

She is 20, in a common law marriage, and has two sons. The oldest is in preschool, and the youngest is still a baby. She has a shop where she makes and sells furniture.

She alternates her activities between the home and making furniture like desks, wardrobes, chairs, tables, and beds, etc. She helps her husband, a carpenter, make the furniture. She has a furniture selling stand in the Mercamuebles Market, which is located at the first bus stop in the San Sebastián province of Cusco. She has been doing this for many years. It has gone very well for her thanks to all of the effort she puts into her work.

She needs a loan to increase the capital in her business of making and selling furniture. She wants to buy raw material (wood) and materials like thinner, shellac, sandpaper, and glue, etc. for finishings the furniture.

She is grateful for the opportunity of the loan, and she promises to pay it back on time.
