Munaim's story

Munaim is 52 years old and married with 4 children. She has a secondary-level education and works as a senior weigher in a quality control department. In order to provide her family with an additional source of income, Munaim has been raising livestock and growing crops since 1998. On her farm, she currently has 3 cows, 2 horses, and a 2.45-hectare plot of land where she grows organic beans.

In order to further expand her business, Munaim has approached Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 som to pay the plowing and sewing costs for her organic beans, and to buy livestock to increase the size of her herd. The profits from the loan will help Munaim to build a large barn raise her family's standard of living.
