A loan of $525 helped increase her operating capital for buying & selling bananas.

Bettsy's story

Bettsy is a happy mother who is 23 years of age. She and her partner live at home with her mother.

Bettsy previously helped her parents with their coffee and banana crops. Now that she has her own family, she buys and sells bananas along with her husband. Twice a week, they leave early to buy fruit directly from the banana farms since they are located a considerable distance from where they live. They are able to obtain their products at a low price, which makes them more profitable when they take them into the regional capital where they can generate better revenues. In the future, Bettsy and her husband want to buy their own land so that they can build a house and improve their quality of life.

This is her second loan with MFP. Bettsy is very grateful for her previous loan, since it enabled her to start her business. The money from this loan will be used to increase her capital.
