A loan of $1,050 helped purchase fertilizers & coffee seedlings.

Ana's story

Ana is 41 years old and lives with her partner, who is the father of their six children. They have their own home. Always smiling, Ana travels with her husband across town to get to their farm. They work hard to maintain their coffee and banana crops. Ana utilizes traditional methods, inspecting each of her crops by hand with great agility. She has been doing this type of work since childhood. Ana does not appear to be tired of her job; she enjoys it most during harvest season when she can bring her products to market. At that time, she generates income to buy groceries and clothing for her children. Now that her children are older, she has started helping her parents with their coffee crops. She hopes to share some of her earnings with them so they can gradually acquire their own land.

This is Ana’s third loan with MFP. During her time as a client, she has completed all of her payments. She also deserves much appreciation for her service as the Communal Bank treasurer. The money she is requesting will be used to purchase coffee seedlings and fertilizers.
