A loan of $425 helped to buy hair extensions and phone cards.

Léonie's story

H. Léonie was born in 1970 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. She is a widow and the mother of two children who are both in school. She has been living alone with her children in the Finagnon district in Cotonou for ten years. She alone ensures that family expenses are met.

Léonie has attended secondary school. To provide for herself and these two children of her, she sells hair extensions and hair products in the shop in her home. She also sells mobile phone recharge cards. She stocks up from Dantokpa, the international marketplace of Benin.

She is a previous ALIDé client who has already benefited from eight ALIDé loans, which have been repaid. With the aim of bolstering her business, especially as the holidays approach, and satisfying her customers further, she’s requesting a ninth loan from ALIDé.
