Obéissance Plus Group's story

Tshibangu K., aged 50, is the leader of a group of micro-entrepreneurs called "Obéissance Plus".  It is composed in solidarity of 33 members who have a need for micro-loans from the lenders of the world via Kiva and the micro-finance institution HOPE RDC.  The goal of the members is to develop their businesses. 

Tshibangu sells jewelry and a variety of other items at a marketplace located southwest of the city of Kinshasa.  He has been a micro-entrepreneur since 1990 and has acquired solid experience in this domain.  He is a loyal client who has obtained a loan five times with HOPE RDC, and he has repaid them properly.  Right now, his business generates a profit of $150 for him per week.  He intends to use the next loan to buy jewelry and other goods to sell in order to bolster his capital. 

His ambition is to save a lot of money for coping with hard times in the future.  He is married and the father of three children, ages 12 to 17 years.  They all go to school.
