A loan of $350 helped to repair and service his mototaxi.

Dye Humberto's story

Dye, 18, is single and lives with his mother and brother in the La Arena settlement, Motupe district which is located two hours away from the city of Motupe. Two years ago, with help from his mother, he was able to buy himself a mototaxi (a three-wheeled, motorized, vehicle used to transport passengers and cargo) with which he currently offers transportation services between the city of Motupe and surrounding settlements. The earnings he gets from this activity is the only source of income for the family since their father abandoned them two years ago. The roads in the area are very rough and, due to the constant use it has been subjected to, his vehicle has started to have mechanical problems that adversely affect its proper functioning. This has forced Dye to have to call upon Edpyme Alternativa for the first time for help in the form of a 1000 new sol loan. Dye's great wish for the future is to buy another mototaxi so that he will be able to continue supporting his family. He is a responsible, enterprising and very hardworking young man.
